Lee R. Hoekenschnieder

Huntsville Market President/General Banking Executive

A native of Huntsville, Lee Hoekenschnieder began his banking career more than 35 years ago and has held senior leadership positions in several areas of banking including consumer banking, branch administration, commercial lending and the Wealth Management Executive for a large regional bank. He attended the University of Alabama and UAH as well as the School of Banking of the South at Louisiana State University and Canon Trust School at Pepperdine University, and also has his Series 7, 63 and 65 securities licenses.

Hoekenschnieder has been active in the Huntsville community and has held leadership positions in several organizations including the Rotary Club of Huntsville (president), Huntsville Hospital Foundation (chairman), Huntsville Museum of Art (chairman), Huntsville-Madison County Library Foundation (president), American Cancer Society (president), American Heart Association (president), Huntsville Rehabilitation Foundation/Phoenix Industries, New Futures (treasurer), and was a member of the Class 1 of Leadership Huntsville.

Currently, Hoekenschnieder is treasurer of FirstCommunity Health, president of the Madison County Veterans Memorial Foundation, member of the board of directors for Biztech, and chairman emeritus of the Huntsville Hospital Foundation.

Hoekenschnieder and his wife, Christy, have two daughters, Riley and Blair. In his leisure time he enjoys golf and traveling. He serves on the Executive/Loan Committee, Technology and the Investment/Asset-Liability Management Committee.
