Beth B. Martin
Madison Market President
Beth Martin is a native of Tuskegee, AL. Her banking career began in Huntsville more than 12 years ago. Her responsibilities have included consumer/retail banking, business banking, private banking, regional management and, most recently, Madison Market President for Progress Bank.
Martin studied at Tuskegee University, Webster University, Huntsville Bible College, and Alabama School of Banking in Mobile. Through these institutions, she holds several degrees to include a B.S. in marketing; B.A. in theology; and an M.B.A. Her future plans include a PhD in finance.
Martin has been active in the Huntsville, Madison, and Madison County communities through her civic involvement, which includes serving on boards for the Huntsville/Madison County Chamber of Commerce as vice chair of small business, Girls Incorporated, Huntsville/Madison County Library Foundation, UAHuntsville Board of Visitors, and the Huntsville Hospital Foundation’s Development Council. She is an active member of Committee 100, and Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Incorporated. She currently serves on boards for the Huntsville/Madison County Convention and Visitors Bureau, Madison Chamber of Commerce, The Schools Foundation, Huntsville Hospital Foundation, Madison Hospital Advisory Board, and the Madison Police Foundation. Martin is also a graduate of several leadership
programs: Leadership Connect, Leadership Alabama Initiative, Impact Leadership, Leadership Huntsville/Madison County and Leadership Alabama. Her civic involvement has enabled her to positively impact education, politics, healthcare services, and economic development.
Martin was a nominee for Outstanding Professional Woman and Outstanding Volunteer Services through Girls Scouts of America, NA and was recognized by the Huntsville/Madison County Chamber of Commerce as a 2010 finalist for Young Professional of the Year. In her leisure time, she enjoys reading, swimming, and spending time with her daughter, Jaylin Caroline.
Martin serves on the Progress Bank Investments-Asset/Liability Management, Product, and Technology committees.
