Sheila B. Brown
Founding Director
Sheila Brown is founder and CEO of QuantiTech, a business supplying quality value-added technical and management services in studies, software development, analytical method application and program assessments to customers in government and commerce. She will utilize her educational background and over 18 years of management experience as a Small Business Owner in the Huntsville community to ensure the success of the organization. Sheila is committed to providing the personalized level of customer service that is unique to a locally owned and controlled community bank. As a small business owner, she has seen first hand the difference a locally controlled bank has when it comes to making important decisions.
Sheila has lived in Huntsville since 1967 when her parents moved to Redstone Arsenal with the U.S. Army. Mrs. Brown attended Huntsville City Schools and graduated from J.O. Johnson High School. She graduated cum laude from Vanderbilt University in Civil Engineering and received certification as an Engineer-in-Training from the State of Tennessee in 1982. Mrs. Brown has taken graduate courses in statistics and has received professional certification in Contracts Management. She graduated from the Minority Business Executive Program at the Amos Tuck School at Dartmouth College in 1997.
Sheila is an active community leader and serves on the Board of Directors for Cummings Research Park and the Huntsville Hospital Foundation. She has served on the Boards of the Huntsville/Madison County Chamber of Commerce, the Arts Council, and is a past president of the Women’s Economic Development Council. Shelia is also a graduate of Leadership, Huntsville/Madison County Chamber of Commerce.
Married to her childhood sweetheart, Tucker Brown, for 26 years, Sheila and her husband have two daughters, Cara and Kelsey. Kelsey is a Junior at the University of Florida in Gainesville, and Cara recently graduated from UF and is working in McLean, VA for ITT, Inc. In her spare time, Sheila is an avid golfer and enjoys running and swimming.
Sheila serves on the Progress Bank Human Resources/ Compensation Committee.
