Roger Trent Pangle
Founding Director
Roger Pangle became Executive Vice President and COO of Alabama Farmers Cooperative (AFC) in June 1996.
In 1976, Roger began his career with AFC as a District Sales Manager in northeast Alabama and later was transferred to Decatur as a seed buyer. He was promoted to Director of Seeds in the Crops, Farm and Home Department in 1978. Roger was promoted to Vice President of Crops, Farm and Home Department in 1993 and accepted the position of Executive Vice President and COO in June 1996.
Roger as been active in agriculture service organizations, serving as President of Alabama Seedsmen Association in 1984-1985, as President of the Southern Seedsmen Association in 1991, as President of the Southern Field Seed Council in 1988, as President of the Alabama Crop Improvement Association in 1993,1994, 1995: he currently serves as a board member. He also serves as President of Universal Seed and Supply, Inc. He is a board member of Universal Cooperatives, Inc., in Minneapolis, Minnesota, where he served as past Chairman. He serves as Chairman of the Board for BioLogic, LLC, maker of Mossy Oak seed and feed products. He serves as Chairman on the Agriliance-AFC, LLC Board of Directors and is a Board Member of Cooperative Financial Services, Inc. He has been active in the Decatur Kiwanis, serving as its President in 1992-1993. He is a member of Westmeade Baptist Church, Decatur, Alabama.
Roger grew up in Maryville, Tennessee. He is a graduate of Porter High School and Tennessee Tech University. He and his wife, Brenda, have two children, Eric and Brittany. Eric is married to Gretchen, and they have 2 children, Hunter and Sydney. In his leisure time, Roger enjoys hunting and spending time with his family.
Roger serves on the Progress Bank Human Resources/ Compensation Committee.
